Hang up the hacksaw. This workstation cuts metal with power and precision. Woodworkers, ironically, cut quite a bit of metal while building projects and jigs, from threaded rod and T-track to continuous hinges and angle iron. Most of us, though, can't cut any straighter with a hacksaw than we can with a handsaw. By mounting a portable bandsaw in a simple, shop-built table, you add speed, safety and precision in a compact package. We designed this table and mounting system for a Makita XPB04Z bandsaw. You may need to modify a few of the dimensions to suit your saw.
